Accessibility
The standard this site is built to, where it currently falls short, and how to tell us.

Where we stand
We build this site to target WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We have not yet had an independent audit, so we describe that as a target rather than as a conformance claim. Saying otherwise without a test behind it would be its own kind of dishonesty.
What is in place
- Semantic HTML with a single h1 per page and a heading outline that follows the visual order.
- A skip link to the main content as the first focusable element.
- Every meaningful image carries descriptive alternative text; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
- Keyboard access throughout, including the cart drawer, which traps focus while open and returns it on close.
- Visible focus styling that is never removed.
- Motion respects prefers-reduced-motion; every scroll animation resolves to its final state instead of being skipped.
- Content is readable and functional without JavaScript.
- Colour is never the only way information is conveyed.
Known gaps
- No independent audit has been carried out yet.
- Text contrast has not been verified against every photographic background at every viewport width.
- The checkout is Shopify's and is outside our control, so its accessibility is Shopify's to state, not ours.
- Some product copy comes from suppliers and has not been reviewed for plain-language readability.
